What is GDPR and why is it important for your organization?

Personal Data protection is becoming increasingly important for customers, business and public institutions, for this reason EU has approved GDPR.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU-wide regulation that controls how companies and other organizations handle personal data. It is the most significant initiative on data protection in 20 years and has major implications for any organization in the world, serving individuals from the European Union.

Albania being a candidate state to become part of the EU is working for the transposition of this rules in the Albanian legislation. At current these piece of legislation is being under public consultation form the relevant bodies and upon approval by the Albanian Government will come into force.

Perform Privacy Impact Assessments for High Risk Processing activities, product and services.
Build and Maintain a Risk register with the findings of the PIA-s.

Act as a point of contact with the Data Protection Commissioner in cases of: inspections, requests, notifications for international data transfers etc.
